It was the first date. Flirtatious banter exchanged back-and-forth all night, and it was obvious the sexual tension was mutual.

But nonetheless, consent needs to be verbal, so before I reached in even closer to her lips, I asked in a sultry voice, “Can I kiss you?”

As she looked deep into my eyes, with a smirk upon her face, she enthusiastically responded, ” Thank you for asking. Yessss please.”

Isn’t it sexy when you know without doubt, someone wants you just as much as you want them?

While consent is serious and important and mandatory, it is also sexy.

It’s sexy when you have an open and honest conversation with your partner(s) about how far you want to go, what you’d like to do, and mutually agree on taking it to the next level, or to not.

It’s sexy when someone says no, and that no is respected and accepted because it shows the level of respect the asker has for the receiver.
